This open lecture is designed to provide TESOL MA students with a basic introduction to SPSS, a statistical software program used for data management and data analysis. This lecture is run in a complementary fashion to the theoretical and practical issues introduced in research methods in applied linguistics and education research.

We are looking for 5 people to help Prof. van Vlack teach the English in Action Writing class while the Practicum people are taking their exams.

Time - Class runs from 6:00-7:50. We need to be there by 5:45 to set up the desks.

The teachers act as group leaders. Essentially this means she or he leads the group making sure they understand the tasks and providing scaffolding while the students are performing tasks.
It is a good chance to see how the teaching part of the practicum works.
